Having pulled off an escape from Tweedy's farm, Ginger has found a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new threat, and Ginger and her team decide to break in.

Directed by Sam Fell, the plot of "Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget" follows Ginger, voiced by Thandiwe Newton, as she lives her life with the others at an island sanctuary after escaping from the egg farm in the first movie. But all will not stay peaceful for now. "Back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat.

According to a plot synopsis released by Netflix, "Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget" picks up not long after the improbable events of the first "Chicken Run." Rocky and Ginger escape from certain death at Tweedy's farm and settle down on a peaceful island where no humans will harm them or ever turn them into meat pies.
